Tomorrow we open preorders on the Arielle dress — our newest style, and the debut of a print we've never shown before: Parlor Rose.
Parlor Rose comes from the archive, one of my grandmother Kati's hand-painted designs from her Montreal studio. It's been sitting in the collection for decades, waiting for the right dress. Arielle is it.
Like the Jessie dress before her, the Arielle is named for a dear childhood friend.
The dress is 100% silk. Two colorways: Olive and Terracotta.
Both sit in that in-between season — not quite summer, not quite fall. Here in California, that stretch runs long. We're still in short sleeves through October, so Olive and Terracotta are built to work now and keep working as the weather turns. Olive leans toward the greens and golds of early fall. Terracotta keeps a foot in summer, warmer and more sun-worn.
